Why choose the Bio Healing HEPA 13 Air Purifier™
If you've been searching for a true HEPA 13 air purifier in Australia for allergies, smoke or dust — or a Bio Healing air purifier filter replacement — this is the unit behind thousands of Australian reviews. Customers tell us the same two things most often: it's very quiet in operation, and it's easy to set up out of the box.
How it works — 3-layer filtration
- Pre-filter: captures larger particles like dust, lint and hair before they reach the inner filters.
- True HEPA H13 filter: designed to capture fine particles including PM2.5, pollen and other everyday airborne particles.
- Activated carbon filter: helps neutralise everyday household odours.
The unit also includes a cold catalyst layer and an anion setting.
Filter replacement
Replace the filter every 6–8 months to keep performance at its best. Replacement filters are available as a variant on this page — many customers keep a spare on hand.

Manual for Bio Healing Air Purifier

Bio Healing Air Purifier Icon & Feature Guide
Here's a breakdown of what each icon and feature on your Bio Healing air purifier means:
1. AQI (Air Quality Index)
Indicates the overall air quality in the room. It typically changes colour or value based on pollution levels:
- Good – Clean, healthy air
- Moderate – Some pollutants present
- Poor – High level of air pollutants
2. PM2.5 / PO Reading
- PM2.5 stands for “particulate matter” that is 2.5 microns or smaller. These fine particles can come from smoke, dust, pollen, and vehicle emissions.
- PO (Pollution Output) reflects the PM2.5 concentration. Here's how to read the PO levels:
| PO Level | Air Quality |
|---|---|
| 0–50 | Excellent |
| 51–100 | Good |
| 101–150 | Mild Pollution |
| 151–200 | Moderate Pollution |
| 201–300 | Severe Pollution |
| 301+ | Very Severe Pollution |
Note: The PO value may fluctuate depending on room conditions.
3. Additional filter setting
Refer to the supplied manual for this setting and how it operates in Sleep Mode.
4. Speed

5. Purify

6. Temperature
Displays the current room temperature.
7. Timer
Set an automatic shut-off between 1 and 8 hours.
8. Mode
- Auto Mode – automatically adjusts speed and function based on detected air quality.
- Manual Mode – adjust settings yourself.
- Sleep Mode – quiet operation with minimal lights for night use.
9. UV setting
Refer to the supplied manual for the UV setting and its operation.
10. Anion (Negative Ion)
Refer to the supplied manual for the anion setting and its operation.

Why a replaceable True HEPA filter (not washable)
1. Reduced efficiency over time
Washable filters can lose their ability to capture pollutants after repeated cleaning. Each wash can damage the fibres that trap small particles, so performance can drop even when the filter looks clean.
2. Fine pollutants
Most washable filters are not True HEPA, so they are not designed to capture the smallest airborne particles (like PM2.5 and smoke).
3. Moisture risk
Moisture left behind after washing can promote mould or bacteria growth, which may then circulate through your purifier.
4. Maintenance
Follow the manufacturer's replacement schedule and care instructions for this filter.
✅ Better alternative: choose a unit with a replaceable True HEPA filter — like this one.
